Biography
William was baptised 16 Feb 1771 in East Hendred, Berkshire.
He was a builder who built Lower cottage in 1813, was churchwarden (1821-1823), Overseer 1837 and held other parish offices.
He signed the Lee Petition of 1814 against the slave trade.
He died on 1 December 1825 aged 54 and was buried 9 Dec 1825 leaving a wife and large young family.
