Evacuation World War 2

Evacuation from London was mostly organised by the London County Council, by schools for school-aged children. I presume Deptford Park was your school. Records are kept at the London Metropolitan Archives among the files of the L.C.C., Education Officer's Department, Emergency Wartime Measures. The details many want may be available there, but of course many wartime records do not survive, and many people made private evacuation arrangements through friends or family.
