Murray Cup
The Murray Cup for Best Small Garden in Deptford was awarded from 1933 to 1994 (not during the Second World War).
It was presented to the Deptford Gardens Guild by James Staite Murray who was an old Deptford tradesman.
In 1933 he wrote to the Deptford Gardens Guild offering a `sister’ cup for small gardens only.
